Paloma Colombe is a DJ, music programmer, sound artist, filmmaker, and radio host (Nova Club).
From San Francisco, where she immersed herself in a queer and radical music scene during her studies in documentary filmmaking in 2011, to her maternal Algeria, Paloma Colombe is shaping the contours of a profoundly hybrid artistic project. In her sets, she constructs a powerful, committed, and uncompromising musical narrative, blending percussive polyrhythms, bass music, and techno.
After performing at Eurockéennes, Transmusicales, Electro Alternativ, and Peacock Society, she ignites stages with her infectious energy, including Olympia and Salle Pleyel, as the opening act for electronic music performer Marc Rebillet.
As an entrepreneur and creative, Paloma is the driving force behind the FRICTIONS events.
She is currently working on producing her first tracks for an EP, expected to be released in 2024.
Beyond the stage, her artistic universe manifests itself through documentary films (Planet Malek), gender-balanced music programming and curation (in Frictions events or for Nova Club), a feminist podcast featuring testimonies set to music (Écoute-La). She has also managed musical projects for the Habibi Funk label, created soundtracks for theater productions, written numerous music articles, and composed for audiovisual music projects.
Through her various artistic practices, she seeks to create spaces in which one can experience otherness, fostering chance encounters between seemingly heterogeneous elements while persistently striving to transcend divides
