Olivier Schetrit is an artist, anthropologist and research engineer at the CNRS, affiliated with the Centre d’étude des mouvements sociaux, membre du Programme Handicap & Sociétés. Artist, storyteller, stage director and self-taught filmmaker, he develops a practice situated between research and creation. His work explores the Deaf body, sign language and ways of being Deaf through art, memory and transmission.
