Evann Loget-Raymond

Countertenor

Evann is a young countertenor, choral conductor and composer born in Brittany.

As of 2015, he performs as a soloist with the Stradivaria Ensemble (conductor Daniel Cuiller), La Fenice (conductor Jean Tubery), Vivaldi Society (conductor Anton Martynov), Artaserse (conductor Philippe Jaroussky) and Matheus (conductor Jean-Christophe Spinosi). He also participated in recitals with the pianists Jérémy Quelin and Juliette Dournaud. These experiences lead him to perform at the Theater an der Wien, the Royal Opera of Versailles, the Moscow Philharmonic and the Seine Musicale.

In 2016, in conjunction with his studies in choral conducting, he created Vox 21, his own vocal and instrumental ensemble. In August 2021 he was invited to conduct the baroque orchestra of the Festival de Musique Ancienne de Saorge in the opera Eliogabalo by Cavalli. In September of the same year he was assistant conductor to Franck-Emmanuel Comte in the opera Talestri de Walpurgis.

His passion for composition led him, at a very young age, to write his first motets for mixed choir, followed by pieces for solo instruments, voice and piano, choir and various instrumental chamber ensembles, chamber orchestra, choir and orchestra. He was recently commissioned to write the music for Seven Last Words from the Cross, the soundtrack of the short film Je suis Cléromantique directed by Anne-Laure Maudet and Reùven Abbou, as well as the podcast Parmi nous le diable by Capucine de Chocqueuse.
