Barbara Fougère holds a PhD in Film Studies and an affiliated researcher at Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. She is a member of the “Handicap & Sociétés” programme at EHESS and “of Retour d’Image”. Her research focuses on the representation of deafness in cinema, as well as the participation of Deaf people within the film industry.
