Ancestrality is the movement that links the generations. For anthropologist Arturo Escobar, it is not so much a desire to cling to the past, as a future-oriented thinking “in which communities will be able to decide on the ways of life autonomously”. It is as well “the collective space of existence that makes the peaceful coexistence of peoples possible.”
