The winner of the 2026-2027 Prix des Amis du Palais de Tokyo proposes an exploration of a shared reality in ruins, where the symbols of power are in a state of collapse, and an irreverent reflection on the state of the world.

Since 2008, each year the Association des Amis du Palais de Tokyo has awarded a prize to an emerging artist in order to support and promote contemporary artistic creation in France. Céleste Richard-Zimmermann’s winning project is a reflection on the symbols of power articulated around a broken, unstable and hollow column. Sculptures, fragments and sound works make up a space that is traversed by gestures of destruction and transformation, one where the memory and the future of our edifices play out in an interrogation of the resistance and the circulation of forms.
