Tiran Willemse is a dancer and choreographer born in South Africa and lives in Berlin/Germany and Zurich/Switzerland. His performance-based practice explores the body’s physical and emotional depth to create sonic images that convey somatic and psychological landscapes beyond the human condition. He has worked with Eszter Salamon, Jérôme Bel, Trajal Harrell, Meg Stuart, Ligia Lewis, Andros Zins-Browne, Alex Baczyński Jenkins, Dorotha Gawęda and Eglė Kulbokaitė (Young Girl Reading Group), PRICE (Mathias Ringgenberg) and the Cullberg Ballet (along with Deborah Hay and Jefta van Dinther).
