Born in 1983. French architect, currently living in Brussels and Paris

 

A graduate of the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture Paris-Malaquais, Sébastien Martinez Barat co-founded the architecture collective La Ville Rayée. He will curate the Belgian pavilion of the 14^th Venice Architecture Biennial in 2014. For Martinez Barat, architecture is a broad interdisciplinary activity that includes curating and building. His theoretical research and projects focus on the formal reduction of architecture.
