Philippe Dagen teaches contemporary art history at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. His research mainly focuses on “primitivism” and the relationships between wars and artistic creation in the 20th century. Art critic for the newspaper Le Monde since 1985, he is also a novelist.
