Nabil Djedouani is a filmmaker, actor, and researcher. He was born in Saint-Etienne in 1984. After studying film at the Louis Lumière University in Lyon, he co-directed a documentary film in Algiers with Hassen Ferhani titled “Afric Hôtel” (2010). He then worked as an assistant director and actor alongside filmmaker Rabah Ameur-Zaïmeche on the films “Histoire de Judas” (2015) and “Terminal Sud” (2019).
In 2012, he created the website “Archives Numériques du Cinéma Algérien” to make forgotten Algerian cinematic works accessible to everyone on his Facebook page and YouTube channel. He collects, restores, and shares these cinematic works. In 2019, he directed a documentary essay titled “Rock Against Police.” In 2022, he obtained a professional qualification certificate in digital image restoration from the Institut National de l’Audiovisuel.
