Maureen Fazendeiro (born 1989) is a French director and screenwriter based in Lisbon. After studying literature, art and cinema, she directed Motu Maeva (2014) and Soleil Noir (2019), selected in many international festivals and screened in several film libraries, museums and art fairs. She is a member of “L’Abominable”, an artists’ laboratory based in Paris. She collaborates with Miguel Gomes, first on Arabian Nights as a casting director, then as a scriptwriter on Sauvagerie and Grand Tour. In 2020, they co-directed Diários de Otsoga.
