Marie-Claire Messouma Manlanbien was born in 1990 in Paris, where she lives and works. She graduated in 2016 from the École nationale supérieure d’art de Paris-Cergy. She had a number of solo exhibitions, notably at the Orangerie du Sénat, Jardin du Luxembourg (Paris, 2021) and at the CAC La Traverse (Alfortville, 2020). Her work has also been presented in group exhibitions, including the 13th Rencontres de Bamako (2022) and Tactiques du rêve augmenté at La Verrière Hermès (Brussels, 2022). She has also been awarded the FoRTE #2 grant (2019) and a residency at the Cité internationale des arts (2019), and is a laureate of the Prix 1% Marché de l’art. She is represented by the Galerie Cécile Fakhoury (Abidjan, Dakar, Paris).
