Jo-ey Tang

Curator, artist and author

Jo-ey Tang (1978) is a Hong Kong-born American curator, artist and author. In 2010 whilst a student at New York University, he organized projects with artists in his apartment under the title The Notary Public. He has previously worked as the arts editor for the journal n+1 from 2009 to 2014, as a curator at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris from 2014 to 2015, and as the director of exhibitions at the Beeler Gallery at Columbus College of Art & Design from 2017 to 2020. In 2015, together with the artists of the fierce pussy collective, he devised an evolving exhibition entitled arms ache avid aeon: fierce pussy amplified. He lives in San Francisco, where he is currently the director of KADIST San Francisco.
