Zdenek Kosek

Je suis le cerveau de l’univers
from 04/19/2012 to 06/03/2012

“I did not control only the weather, but politics too, I appointed Vaclav Havel president of the Republic. (…) I thought I was immortal. I was the master of the world and I had the huge responsibility of solving all humankind’s problems. If I did not solve them, who else would do it?”

Zdenek Kosek is a typographer who suffered a serious injury in 1985 whose psychological consequences are irrevocable. His way of looking takes us to the heart of a process of creation, revealing all the richness of a unique perception of our world. The Palais de Tokyo, in the context of its collaborations with guest curators, has entrusted this module to Bruno Decharme, the founder of the abcd (art brut connaissance & diffusion) association, and Barbara Safarova, its president; they have collaborated closely with the artist since 2003, contributing to the recognition of this highly original body of work.
