Launched by Leeum Museum of Art in 2001, Art Spectrum has served as a platform for discovering and supporting emerging Korean artists. In 2024, the program entered a new phase, expanding its scope to include artists from across Asia and fostering new forms of international collaboration. Presented at Hoam Museum of Art for the first time, 2026 Art Spectrum is co-curated with Palais de Tokyo (est. 2002), one of Europe’s leading institutions for contemporary art. Renowned for its vibrant, bold, and pioneering programs, Palais de Tokyo has been expanding its engagement with artistic and cultural scenes in Asia. 

2026 Art Spectrum critically reflects on the symbolic significance and institutional conventions of Hoam Museum of Art, as well as the conditions that have shaped Art Spectrum itself. Occupying both the interior and exterior spaces of the museum, where architecture and landscape are closely intertwined, the exhibition generates a dynamic and multilayered field of energy. Bringing together 23 artists and collectives from 10 countries whose practices span visual art, architecture, film, design, music, and other cultural practices, the exhibition explores the possibility for diverse artistic practices, sensibilities, and temporalities from across Asia to resonate with one another without being subsumed under a fixed identity or overarching narrative. 

The exhibition ARoomWhereEveryRadioIsTunedtoDifferentStations unfolds as a polyphonic scene in which numerous radios occupy the same space, each tuned to a different frequency. A pavilion resembling a giant moon, figures on skateboards drifting through the city’s subterranean depths, a collapsing house, the voices of forgotten artifacts drifting through space, the invisible networks of multinational palm oil production, a long corridor where speech and smoke travel together, and an extended human body wandering the museum garden in the darkness of night—these distinct artistic languages and practices coexist throughout the exhibition. Throughout the exhibition period, a wide-ranging public program further extends this multiplicity, bringing it not at the edges but at the living heart of unseen forces and sounds. The program includes live performances by bands from six Asian countries, an art shop project, a uniform design project for the museum attendants, culinary workshops, and a series of talks. The artists and creators participating in the exhibition respond to the contemporary moment from different linguistic, historical, technological, sensory, political, and social positions. The frequencies they generate do not move into a single direction. Instead, they produce unexpected trajectories where interference, slippages, and overlapping echoes collide.
