Through a collective reading, Costanza Spina, author and journalist, invites us to explore and go through excerpts of their book Manifeste pour une démocratie déviante, amours queers face au fascism (Manifesto for a deviant democracy, queer love in the face of fascism). First publication for Trouble Editions, Costanza Spina’s manifesto is a political and poetic essay. It explores the immissions of fascist doctrines in contemporary capitalist societies and the theoretical means of confronting them. For the author, the queer romantic revolution is a radical struggle and the intention to build societies based on freedom and acceptance.
Accompanied by dreamlike sounds created by performance artist Marion Filippi, the artists invite spectators on a journey of words, sounds and revolt against those who fiercely oppose love.
Please note that this event will be solely in French language with no subtitles.
This event is taking place in the Friche, a space and time set aside at the heart of the exhibition spaces, where the multiple functions of art are revived and the traditional uses and missions of an institution are overtaken.
