A Collectible Honoring the Palais de Tokyo Retrospective “ALPHABETA SIGMA (SIDE A)”
 
 
In collaboration with Palais de Tokyo x The Estate of Rammellzee x Garageworks Industries present the Rammellzee’s Iconic Barshaw Gangstarr 2 – “Gem Edition”, a rare, hand-crafted collectible that pays tribute to the late artist’s vision in celebration of his first large-scale European retrospective.
 
This meticulously sculpted figure is cast from Rammellzee’s original resin model, preserving the raw energy and technique of his approach. The Gem Edition incorporates authentic vintage gems and accessories, sourced directly from Rammellzee’s vault and the vintage market, with approval from The Estate of Rammellzee.
 
Barshaw Gangstarr, an integral figure in the theories of Gothic Futurism, is an imperial wizard and master of strike tactics. Spitting fire to open doors in time and space, he rhymes at the speed of light, haunting the night as he wages war against the tyranny of language. Originally introduced by Garageworks Industries in 2011, the Barshaw Gangstarr figure remains one of the most sought-after collectibles from Rammellzee’s legacy. Created from his original hand-sculpted resin model and painted according to his meticulous tutorial, each figure embodies the layered textures of time, age, and storytelling through raw materials and found objects.
 
The Barshaw Gangstarr 2 – Gem Edition stays true to that process while incorporating raw materials and found objects that add layers of depth and history to each piece. No two figures are exactly alike, making each a singular artifact that reflects the aged patina of time and Rammellzee’s obsession with material transformation.
 
Two colorways mark this release—one of which, Vault Blue, is reserved exclusively for the patrons of Palais de Tokyo and is currently available only through its bookstore. A limited online release may follow. The second colorway will be unveiled at a later date.
