Through several media, including film, performance and object-making, Nadashi’s work operates in the space between theatre, language, digital culture and artefact. It reconciles themes such as sensuality, aggression and the relationship between assets and value, as well as the discomfort inherent in artists as entertainers.
Shelly Nadashi graduated from the MFA programme at The Glasgow School of Art after having finished her studies at The School for Visual Theatre in Jerusalem. In 2011 she participated in the WIELS residency programme in Brussels. Recent presentations include Centre for Contemporary Art, Glasgow, Etablissement d’en face, Brussels and the Astrup Fearnley Museet, Oslo.
