Régis Samba-Kounzi and Julien Devemy (1969 and 1976) are artists who met during their time at Act Up-Paris, where they worked together as part of the North/south group in the 2000s. Régis Samba-Kounzi explores the articulations between the questions of homosexuality and AIDS, in particular as they emerge in Africa, and questions of race and class inherited from colonial history. Julien Devémy questions the intimate/collective interactions (dependence, friction, abandonment and erasure) and the poetic and political outbursts that emerge from the margins, between sensitivity, memory and resistance.
