Pascal Lièvre (1963) began as an ‘artiviste’ in the 1990s before appearing on the contemporary art scene with his practice of videos and performances founded upon covers and re-enactments of performances by women artists. With curator Julie Crenn, he co-founded HERstory, a platform for research, talks and exhibitions that looks to construct and render visible living, feminist archives by artists and activists from across the world.
