Noah Alifeni

Poet and cultural engineer

Poet and cultural engineer, Noah Alifeni (born in 2002 on Reunion Island) combines his work and skills at the crossroads of poetry, visual arts, mediation, and collective creation.

Nourished by a transdisciplinary approach, he explores the potential of these areas of interest through writing critical texts, publishing books, staging performances, and directing artistic and cultural projects.

Of Anjouanese descent, Noah Alifeni anchors his poetic practice around the figure of the poet, whom he stages through the creation of performative spaces for reflection.

During these performances, poetry becomes a tool for enlightenment and a vehicle for knowledge of a common self, transcending its own contemporaneity and its body placed in space. He summons and explores the global dynamics of poetic language and its legacies, which he considers a necessary apparatus for awakening presence.

Co-founder of La Chaise, a space for the production, reflection, and defense of poetic know-how, in 2023, he published Trombone, a work of poetry with Sowo Editions in 2024. And since 2025, he has also co-directed Misomo, a cultural and artistic association.
