Marion Laser

visual and sound artist, researcher and graphic designer

Marion Laser (elle/il) is a visual and sound artist, researcher and graphic designer, with a degree from ERG. She lives and works in Brussels. The artist is part of the circlar studio (with Laurent Mbaah, Théo Hennequin, Lucas Espel), the multidisciplinary collective Chaos Village (with Simlo, STELLIUM, NMSS, articulating curatorial work, hybrid live performances and scenography) and is also half of the post-punk duo Brainrot Cowboy with Martin Dubessay.

His installations explore the myths and fictions that contribute to the construction of a complex digital society, and consist of a hybrid mix of theoretical investigations, fictional documentaries, subverted archives, Internet trash, uncomfortable noise and found footage. Her practice is based on a punk, DIY approach to technology that uses a bricolage of images, sounds and words to capture new narratives.

She/he is invited to participate at the Friche du Palais de Tokyo from October 7 to December 20, 2024.
