At the age of 30, Marielle Chabal has already travelled broadly. She grew up between Paris and the Ocean, with a stopover in Damascus, before taking an advanced course in literature at Lycée Fénelon, Paris, then studying art in Nice and London. She spent the year of her 18^th birthday in Nouméa. For the past five years, she has been flitting from one artistic residency to another, in France but above all “abroad”: in Montenegro, England, Norway, India and, most recently in Jericho in Palestine, thanks to Karim Kattan’s El Atlal residency programme.
