Born in Angoulême, Lola Gonzàlez lives between Brittany and Paris. Whether it is in the writing, production, or else the choice of working with friends, Lola Gonzàlez’s video or performative pieces convey an authenticity, spontaneity and fluidity. Ranging from the individual to the collective, they raise questions about the power of the group, as well as its limits. After graduating from the Beaux-Arts de Lyon in 2012, she has since exhibited in a large number of French and international institutions. She was awarded the Prix Meurice pour l’art contemporain 2016, and is represented by the Marcelle Alix gallery, Paris.
