Lia D Castro works transversally in the field of Visual Arts as a painter, a searcher and an educator. She has been doing art mediation in institutions for a decade and regularly gives lectures in Brazil and in Switzerland (2019). She is represented by Galeria Jacqueline Martins. In the long term project “Seus filhos também praticam” (Your children also practice it), she uses prostitution as a working and research tool, approaching boys aged between 18 and 25 who are white, wealthy and self-declared straight. It seeks to cultivate dialog and listening in the areas of race, class, gender and sexuality.
