Since 2015, under the direction of his composer and trombonist, Fidel Fourneyron (Victoire du Jazz 2019, Artist in Residence at Jazz Sous Les Pommiers, Bengue, Que Vola?, Un Poco Loco, La Chanson de Renart…), the ensemble of La Fanfare au Carreau has been playing original and tasty specially composed pieces. The original repertoire, composed by Fidel, is inspired by traditional music from various regions of the world, with a touch of jazz. Each piece is named after a traditional dish or a typical tree from the world region from which it was inspired.
The amateur group has grown each year to 60 participants. It continues to develop its amateur musical practice at the Carreau du Temple. The musicians rehearse there every two weeks during the year and regurarly perform in concert: a baptism of fire and a great opportunity to share with the public the pleasure of learning and playing together.
