François Piron

Curator

A curator at the Palais de Tokyo since 2020, François Piron is also an art critic, publisher and teacher. He has co-founded a number of cultural venues: Les Laboratoires d’Aubervilliers, which he co-directed between 2000 and 2006, and castillo / corrales in Paris between 2007 and 2015. He is also one of the founders of the publishing house Paraguay.

He has recently curated the exhibitions “Toucher l’Insensé [Approaching Unreason]” (2024), “Sarah Maldoror: cinéma tricontinental” (2021, co-curated with Cédric Fauq), which travelled from the Palais de Tokyo to Lisbon and to Luanda, and which is now open at the Wexner Center for the Arts in the United States, as well as the exhibition “Exposed” (2023), in collaboration with Élisabeth Lebovici and Clément Raveu.
