Born in Kuwait, raised between the US and Palestine, Basma Alsharif works her singular experience of nomadism and a deep interest in the Human Condition. 
She was part of the New Museum’s “Here and Elsewhere” a major exhibition of contemporary art from and about the Arab world, Manifesta 8, the 9th Sharjah Biennial, and has screened hers film at the international film festivals of Toronto, Rotterdam, Berlin, and Yamagata. She is represented by Galerie Imane Fares.
