Agnė Jokšė is invited to live and work in the Friche du Palais de Tokyo from March 12 to June 12, 2024. Conceived as a place of welcome, the Friche crosses invitations to give time and space to creators, in direct contact with the institution, its programming and its concerns.
Born in 1993 in Vilnius (Lithuania), lives and works in Vilnius (Lithuania) Agnė Jokšė is artist and writer.
Using the tools characteristic to autoethnography, Jokšė tells stories in which personal experiences and past events related to contemplations of love, intimacy, relations and friendship intertwine with imaginative reflections. Often works in mediums like video, and performative text, investigates questions concerning parallel histories, compassion, entangled relations, queerness and language.
