Lyele

Compositeur et producteur

Lyele is a composer and producer from Marseille, whose musical journey is marked by a subtle fusion of diverse influences, particularly from African American and Caribbean music. Lyele began his musical career in a duo, with no real ambition other than to pass the time. He then ventured into solo work, embarking on a genuine musical exploration, notably collaborating with creators like Leknifrug. His move to Paris marked a major turning point. It was here that he first connected with Universal Music and crossed paths with the rapper S.teban, thus beginning his collaborations with major artists. Through his partnership with S.teban, Lyele immersed himself in the local Marseille scene, working on several projects, including “Mode Sport.” He forged strong ties with various local artists, leading to a co-publishing deal with Universal alongside Beat Bounce, elevating his career to another level.

His meeting with rapper La Fève and artistic director Julien Thollard proved to be a decisive turning point for Lyele. Captivated by the producer’s unique style, La Fève invited him to contribute significantly to his project ERRR, where Lyele became a cornerstone of the production alongside composer Kosei. The critical and public success of ERRR prompted him to return to Paris. Lyele then worked on the entire mixtape “24” by La Fève, which caused a stir in the French music scene.

Recognising Lyele’s talent, singer Tiakola organised a seminar featuring renowned figures like Tarik Azzouz (producer for Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross) and Ikaz Boi (producer for Laylow, Hamza, 13 Block). Together, they worked on Tiakola’s entire project, meeting in several creative seminars in Berlin and Brussels, which led to the surprise project “X.” This fruitful collaboration culminated in the success of the mixtape BDLM, where the track produced by Lyele, “Pona Nini,” became a genuine hit, praised by both the public and critics. The song stood out as one of the standout tracks of the project.

After accumulating prestigious experiences and collaborations, Lyele now feels ready to take a new step. Eager to present a more personal body of work, he has partnered with the Walone label, which fully supports his vision. This new project aims to renew the image of composers, who are often overlooked, by showcasing an audacious artistic approach that is both creative and coherent.
