Following on from the The Way of the Rabbit, the Pavillon Neuflize OBC is embarking on a new project with the Paris Opera. This year, the artists in residence have been invited to join forces with the choreographers at the Opera’s Academy to take over the public spaces of the Palais Garnier on the evening of 18 June. The event has been made possible through a partnership with France’s National Audiovisual Institute (INA) which opened its visual and sound archives to the artists.
The artists are using this historic sound and image archive to write stories, project their dreams and obsessions and analyse situations. Their encounter with the world of classical dance has led them to take a side step into the exploration of new forms of codification.
