CORBEILLE ESSONNES - LES CLÉS DU PALAIS

With the support of the Prefecture of the Île-de-France Region, Palais de Tokyo has, since early 2025, embarked on a cultural partnership with the City of Corbeil-Essonnes. This collaboration has several objectives aimed at energizing the cultural life of Corbeil-Essonnes residents, particularly those living in the city’s priority neighborhoods (QPV).

In addition to free access to the Palais de Tokyo exhibitions for all residents during the three years of the twinning (2025–2027), the art center supports specific audiences through artistic and cultural programs co-designed with local organizations: young people aged 16 to 30 in professional integration programs, families in precarious situations, and individuals who are ill or disabled with more specific needs, among others.

The inauguration takes place at the Corbeil-Essonnes Municipal Art Gallery on Sunday, September 21, and takes the form of continuous open artistic practice workshops designed by three artists invited by the Palais de Tokyo: Hugo Béhérégaray, Clément Courgeon, and Marguerite Li-Garrigue. A festive, performative moment led by the Fanfare au Carreau brings the day to a close. The artists’ work is presented at the Municipal Art Gallery from September 16 to 27, alongside a piece by Mathilde Nourrisson, Agnès. This work has been on display for several months at the Hamo, the Palais de Tokyo’s space dedicated to mediation, education, and inclusion through art.

A large, soft sculpture of a seated figure with exaggerated features is displayed in a gallery corner, near a wall art piece depicting a window with a tall building outside.
