    Woman, Life, Freedom

Woman, Life, Freedom is a slogan born from the struggle of Kurdish women, which became a cry of revolt in Iran after the death of Jina Mahsa Amini in 2022—a 22-year-old Iranian student of Kurdish origin who died three days after being arrested by the morality police for “wearing inappropriate clothing.” This feminist movement denounces systemic oppression and demands justice, equality, and dignity. It embodies a fight for collective freedom that transcends borders and affirms that liberating women means liberating society as a whole. Posters from the movement have covered the columns in the entrance hall of the Palais de Tokyo since 2022.
