The winner of the Grand Prix at the 57th Salon de Montrouge, Maxime Chanson is recontextualizing his intervention at the Salon by studying the 50 or so artists currently on show at Palais de Tokyo. He distributes his mediation devices in different locations: The book 600 démarches d’artistes is available at the bookshop; software made available to visitors and information panels, mounted on picture rails designed by Matali Crasset, are placed at the threshold of the exhibition spaces on levels 2 and 1; finally in the foyer on level 0, a sculpture resembling the Tables of the Law concludes this itinerary, in an ironic gesture giving sacred status to the artist’s own theory
