From 20 February to 11 May 2025, the Palais de Tokyo presents a season of exhibitions dedicated to the notion of Collective Joy.  To mark this occasion, an image archive—consisting of about 350 images printed in A3 format and pasted on the walls outside the exhibition rooms—offers disparate and intentionally desynchronized references, where the relationships between the images are just as significant as their individual presence. From traditional cults to rave parties, from political demonstrations to trance, from religious dances to carnival costumes, this archive is an invitation to immerse oneself in the many layers of the subject, to unfold its complexities, while weaving connections between the different exhibitions of the season. This iconographic archive is structured into several chapters: Seasons, Processions, Politics, Socialities, Sports, Animalities, Childhoods, Circles, Death, Witches and Shamans, Collective Writings, Dances, and Trances.
