Perspectives

For the current school year, two “Perspectives” programs have been initiated:

The “Palais de Toyko, Cent Quatre and Gaîté Lyrique” Tour: discovering places where contemporary creation takes place.

From Middle School to Higher Education Levels

Palais de Tokyo, the Gaîté Lyrique, and Cent Quatre are offering joint visits organized around the architecture of these emblamatic centers in contemporary creation, synonymous with Paris’s cultural reawakening. The guided tour adapts to different types of groups and reveals the history of these buildings, and in particular their recent restoration, as well as the artistic projects in preparation and their secrets. This tour offers a horizontal approach through architecture, urbanism, and urban landscaping.

Duration: about 1h30 per visit

The “ Palais de Tokyo/Paris Museum of Modern Art” Tour

From Middle School to Higher Education Levels

Echoing their geographical situation – The  Paris Museum of Modern Art and Palais de Tokyo are located at opposite ends of the same building – the two institutions, despite two very different approaches to art and exhibitions, seem continually engaged in a dialog and complete one another. These visits are articulated around the challenges facing art from the modern period to our contemporary one. In the mornings, students are taken on a guided tour through the vast collection of the Paris Museum of Modern Art and discover modern painting. In the afternoon, they take a guided tour through Palais de Tokyo.

Duration: two sessions of about 1h30 each

Reservations should be made directly with each institution
