GHOSTS AND REBELS IN THE SHINY BOX [LES LUNDIS DU PAVILLON] PROJECTION ET CONCERT

16/03/2015

For its second evening, the Pavillon brings you two different events: A Field Guide to the Ferns by Basma Alsharif which, with reference to Ruggero Deodato’s controversial horror film Cannibal Holocaust, offers a perspective on a certain contemporary political situation; and a concert by Nicolas Ker, singer of French electronic band Poni Hoax, whose first solo album The Suburbs of Exile has echoes of rock legends such as David Bowie and Lou Reed. All in all, the evening is given over to the flamboyant and fearful ghosts of the night.

This serie of events is offered by le Pavillon Neuflize OBC, research lab of the Palais de Tokyo, hosts six international artists in a residency in Paris. Each presentation will propose a different format and come up with its own apparatus for provoking discussion, the sharing of experiences, critical perspectives, sensations. The events are also intended to offer a more informal setting in which all the foreign artists in residence may meet and discuss with one another. The Lundis du Pavillon will be an attempt to thus bring together the different tempos of artistic experimentation and festivity.
