Like a modern-day Sisyphus, Claude Cattelain offers performances and videos in which he tests not only the limits of his body, but those of the materials he uses as well. At the Palais de Tokyo, in a building game reminiscent of an infernal game of pick-up sticks, Claude Cattelain tries to make a precariously balanced structure emerge from a tangle of assorted debris (planks, battens, beams, pieces of scaffolding…).
