Via its “Young people and Communities” Educalab programme, the Palais de Tokyo is continuously engaged in a dynamic exchange with educational establishments located in socially disadvantaged areas, vocational colleges and out-of-school youth workers. The principal aim of the initiative is to create programmes that take into account the specific needs of young people who are generally unfamiliar with cultural venues and/or socially disadvantaged.

Taking the form of a series of encounters and workshops created in close collaboration with

the project leaders – teachers, educators – Educalab’s main aim is to arouse the students’ curiosity and interest within the scope of their own field of knowledge, develop a creative approach and motivate them to commit to an ambitious, long-term professional project. While each element of the programme is invaluable, ensuring that the youngsters have as much contact as possible with the art works and artists, remains a priority.

Are you a teacher in a socially disadvantaged area, a vocational institution or an out-of-school youth worker? Are you working on a specific educational programme?
